I Love Lucy

I had picked out the name Lucy when I was about 6 months pregnant…I considered many other names, but Lucy was always at the top of the list. I asked Lucy’s dad what about this name…how bout this one and he said “go with your first choice!” so we decided on Lucy Lee.

When I was trying to find a name, I tried to find one that would match who I hoped she’d be. I was drawn to the name Lucy, because I had always enjoyed I Love Lucy and had even read a few biographies about Lucille Ball. Not only was Lucille Ball funny, but she was tough, smart, and resilliant…all qualities that I hoped my daughter would have.
